The 5th ISFE meeting took place in
Castellón de la Plana in Spain in 2004. The international committee initiated the R.E. Peter plenary lecture to be delivered at each symposium as a way of recognizing the vision and wisdom of the international symposium’s founding father and to recognize senior leaders in the field of fish endocrinology. The first one of these was delivered by professor Peter himself at the castellon symposium.
